Reasoning

My current job requires me to be DOD 8570 compliant. Most IT jobs within the DOD will require you to obtain an IAT II certification before hire, or within 6 months of hire. If you are interested in doing work for the DOD look into IAT II certifications. Security+ is by far the most popular, but is not the only certification that’s accepted.
